Alexa’s Flash Briefings can play pre-recorded audio as well as read text. To make a post that plays audio, you have to upload that audio to your website (there is another way to add audio, but it is more complex, so we can discuss using a CDN later).
You can share audio on your WordPress.com blog in a variety of ways on your site. Here are the options we support:
Upload audio to your site
You can upload the files to your site if you have the Personal, Premium or Business plan.
These plans allows you to upload .mp3, .m4a, .ogg, or .wav files to your blog. Create a new post or page or edit a current one, and click the Add Media button.
Next, click Add New, and select the audio file you want to upload from your files. Once it uploads, you can hover over the audio item in your media library and click on the pencil icon.
This option will allow you to add a caption and edit the description. When these settings are to your liking, click Insert.
The audio upload will show in the post editor as a shortcode. On your site, it will appear as an audio embed.
